Fundraising Tennis Clinic Led by our Partners at Heroes Tennis Academy
A good tennis clinic does more than tighten up footwork and sharpen a forehand. It brings people together around a shared purpose.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, we hosted a fundraising tennis clinic at Providence Plantation Racquet & Swim Club in partnership with Heroes Tennis Academy. The event gave players a chance to get on court, learn from experienced coaches, and support a program doing meaningful work through tennis.

Coaches led with skill and purpose
The clinic was led by Coach Christian Hess, who also serves as a board member, and his colleague Coach Jeff. Together, they guided participants through a fun game of dingles to warm up, then shifted to drills, doubles strategy and point play.
Their coaching brought the right mix of energy, encouragement and a whole lot of fun! Players had the chance to work on their games while staying connected to the bigger reason for the day, supporting Charlotte Public Tennis Foundation and its mission to grow public tennis in our community.
A partnership worth celebrating
This clinic was made possible through our partnership with Heroes Tennis Academy. Events like this show how local clubs, coaches, players, and supporters can work together in a simple but powerful way.
A tennis court is a natural place for connection. People rotate in, cheer each other on, laugh through missed shots, and celebrate the good ones. When that same energy supports a cause, the impact reaches beyond the court.

Thank you to everyone who participated
We are grateful to everyone who joined us at Providence Plantation Racquet & Swim Club, helped organize the clinic, or supported the event in any way. Your time, participation, and generosity helped make the day meaningful.
Special thanks to Coach Christian Hess and Coach Jeff for leading the clinic with care and enthusiasm, and to Heroes Tennis Academy for their partnership and continuing to use tennis as a way to serve others.
We look forward to building on this partnership and creating more opportunities where the game we love can support a greater purpose.
